Dedicated to the Brazilian race car driver and three times Formula One Champion Ayrton Senna who died in an accident in 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola. Painted in red and black color by one of his fans, this is a one-of-a-kind car in memory of a race car hero. Tecnomodel is offering a limited quantity of 20 pieces in commemoration of him.

The 1994 San Marino Grand Prix was a strange event filled with tragedies. During the qualifying race, Senna’s Protégé Rubens Barrichello was involved in an accident making him unable to compete. Austrian Driver Roland Ratzenberger was killed during the qualifying race. After these tragic beginnings, Senna offered to create a Driver’s Safety group with the Grand Prix Driver’s Association and lead the effort to improve the safety of Formula One races.

Ayrton Senna had privately donated millions of his personal fortune to underprivileged children and to fight poverty in Brazil. Shortly before his death, he began an organization dedicated to the Brazilian children, which now is the Instituto Ayrton Senna. The Brazilian government gave him a state funeral and declared 3 days of mourning.

Many safety improvements have been made following Senna and Ratzenberger's deaths, such as the installation of crash barriers, safer tracks and tire barriers, and higher crash standards.
